New Social Enterprise Supported by IJCC NPO Member Seibo Japan
IJCC NPO member Seibo Japan's primary work involves the generation of funding for school meals in Malawi through soliciting donations and selling coffee.
However, in Malawi, Seibo is also part of a larger organisation - The Beehive Centre for Social Enterprise. The Beehive provides jobs and educational opportunities to people who really need that help. One of the social enterprise components is an IT schools which churns out over 400 graduates annually- many of whom are then unable to find work.
While these graduates are super clever, English-speaking with technical skills, much of this talent is going to waste. Last year, an initiative of the Beehive Centre facilitated the transfer of customer service functions for a Japanese-based company to Malawian agents, delivering great results.
This initiative allowed the client to hire 24/7 customer agents for a fraction of the cost of doing the same in Japan, with the real social benefit of above-average salaries paid to everyone involved in Malawi.
If you would like to explore similar social enterprise solutions for your company, please contact Declan Somers of Seibo Japan at: declan.somers@seibojapan.or.jp

Clarity: Speak Truth with Simplicity As businesses move towards regenerative models, complexity increases. Systems become more interconnected. Impacts are harder to measure. Trade-offs become visible. In this environment, clarity is not optional. It is essential.
Clarity is the discipline of communicating what is actually happening, not what sounds good. It is the difference between building trust and eroding it.
Why Clarity Matters Trust is not built through claims. It is built through consistency between what is said, what is shown, and what is done.
