Ireland Japan Business Awards 2025 Event Report


On 21 November, the IJCC was delighted to host the Ireland Japan Business Awards 2025 at the Conrad Tokyo, celebrating outstanding achievements across the Ireland–Japan business community. 


This year’s awardees were: 

🔸 Special Recognition Award: Aisling Braiden 

🔸 Enterprise Ireland Company of the Year: Equal1 

🔸 SME of the Year: Custom Media KK 

🔸 Company of the Year: Sojitz Corporation & Pinergy

Featured Article: The Regenerative 7Cs | Core: Aligning What You Say with What You Do (imageMILL) 


After introducing the Regenerative 7Cs last month, we begin the deeper dive with the most fundamental principle: CORE. If regeneration is a journey, the core is where everything begins. It is the difference between a company that talks about sustainability and a company that actually operates regeneratively. Without alignment between purpose and practice, every other effort (creativity, circularity, communication) rests on weak ground. And in today’s world, misalignment is not just a cultural issue. It is a business risk. Employees test it, customers sense it, and stakeholders increasingly demand it.

FÁS OGP Alumni Ireland Meet-Up 


Calling all alumni of the FÁS Overseas Graduate Programme (OGP) in Japan to join IJCC Director Dominic Keogh and a small group of FÁS OGP alumni for an informal festive meet-up in Dublin this December. We’d love to reconnect with as many former participants as possible – whether you were based in Japan in the 1980s, 1990s, or 2000s.

10th Inter-Chamber Ski & Snowboarding Weekend, Hakuba 


The 10th Anniversary Edition of the Inter-Chamber Ski & Snowboard Weekend (Hakuba, Saturday, 31 January) is now open for registration at the event webpage of the Austrian Business Council (ABC).

This year the IJCC are delighted to be joining the ABC on the slopes of Hakuba, Nagano for one of their signature events. The event is open to everyone - chamber members or not!

Bring your family, friends, business contacts – skiers, snowboarders, and winter lovers of all ages are welcome.


Jointly organized by the Chambers of Austria, Belgium-Luxembourg, Ireland, Spain, and Switzerland (with more to come), this event promises a diverse and international crowd. Typically, half of the participants are locals and the other half from abroad, creating a diverse mix and making for a great event.


The “race” is a friendly competition, a simple giant slalom, something to enjoy no matter whether you are an experienced or first time participant. We also always have a group for snowboarders!

On November 5, the IJCC, represented by Dominic Keogh and Mary Honohan, in collaboration with the Japan Business Society in Ireland (JBS), hosted an exclusive event featuring Eddie Jones, Head Coach of Japan’s national rugby team. The event formed part of the Ireland & Japan Business Seminar Series. Click here to learn more!
