The IJCC is one of 18 foreign Chambers of Commerce in Japan supporting the JMEC (Japan Market Expansion Competition) business training programWe kindly ask Chamber members to consider helping one of the teams in the current JMEC program by answering a short survey. See below for details.


Overview & Purpose 

This survey is being conducted by a team of young professionals in Japan, undergoing a learning program to enhance their business acumen and market research skills.


As part of their project work, the participants aim to gain deeper insights into the decision-making drivers of families in the international school sector.


To ensure the data remains consistent for our specific market segment, please proceed if you currently have (or are planning for) a child attending an International School.

Japanese Language Student for Hire from University of Limerick


Welcome the next generation of Japanese-proficient Irish professionals through the University of Limerick🎓


The University of Limerick, an IJCC Educational Institute Member, is on the search for companies in Japan to hire a Japanese-proficient student on a short term for a paid traineeship for a period of 6 months from January to August 2027.


The candidate will be arriving in Japan on a student visa from September 2026, and study in Nagoya until the traineeship begins.
The candidate is both highly motivated and versatile, and has achieved impressive results to date in their second year studying Japanese and Economics.

IJCC Annual General Meeting 2026


We would like to warmly welcome all IJCC members to attend the 2026 Annual General Meeting of the Ireland Japan Chamber of Commerce on 28th May 2026 from 19:00.


The meeting is free to attend for all IJCC members and will be held in hybrid format: in-person at the new Ireland House and online via Zoom. For those attending in-person, there will be a reception with food and drink buffet-style after the meeting has concluded.

Féile Japan 2026


The IJCC are proud to support Féile Japan 2026 - the largest celebration of Irish music in Japan, organized by IJCC NPO Member Comhaltas Japan.

 

The Japan branch of Comhaltas (CCÉ Japan) was established in 1991, are committed to promoting traditional Irish music, dance, singing, and language.

 

Their annual flgaship event, Féile Tokyo, is a fantastic opportunity to experience the best of Irish music in the country, and includes regional competitions that qualify participants for Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann, held in Ireland each year.
